Lash Lift Kit: Everything You Need to Get Started

So you’ve recently qualified in lash lifts or even better, Lash Filler (if you trained with London Lash/InLei®). If you don’t already know why we’re obsessed with, and only use InLei®… check out our article on why Lash Filler is the state-of-the-art treatment in the world of lash lifting!

We always recommend buying a lash lift kit as a bundle, as it’s often significantly cheaper than if you were to buy all the products individually. We sell an InLei® lash lift kit which has everything you need for the perfect Lash Filler, but let’s break it down and look at the products in the kit, and the products you need to purchase before getting started on clients!

Processing Solutions

The first group of products you will need in your beginner lash lift kit are the processing solutions. In terms of InLei®, this will consist of Form 1 (relaxing solution), Fix 2 (fixing solution) and Filler 3 (thickening and strengthening solution). Form 1 and Fix 2 are the products that cause the chemical reaction which results in a lash lift. Filler 3 is the solution completely unique to InLei Lash Filler which is responsible for its ability to increase lash thickness by up to 24% over the course of 3 treatments, making it the first of its kind!

Lash Lift Shields

InLei offers two types of lash lift shields, and it’s entirely up to you which one you want to work with. InLei® Lash Curlers are the standard option - they come in a range of sizes, and you can select the correct one based on your client's lash length and curl. In the Total Lash Curlers box, you will get S, M, L, XL and S1, M1, L1 and XL1. The latter have a more natural curl, so are a good choice for clients who have very long natural lashes or lashes that already have a curl to them. You can also purchase the lash curlers in individual sizes if you find you use a certain size shield more often.

Forma Shieldsare the new kid on the block and they're already taking the lash lift industry by storm – for good reason. These shields are almost universal, meaning no wasting time picking and trying different-sized shields! They have been designed with the perfect shape to fit almost any eye, and give the most beautiful lift with no risk of kinks! They are also hypoallergenic and reusable time and time again. Fixing Gel

Fixing gel is a water-soluble glue that you use to stick the lashes to the shield to hold them in place whilst the solutions process. It’s very sticky, meaning that you won’t have to worry about lashes pinging off your shield throughout the treatment! The perfect consistency creates a  super thin film allowing the solutions to properly penetrate the entirety of the hair.

Tools

You can’t be performing a Lash Filler treatment without your handy little tools, but what do you need in your lash lift kit to get the perfect results we all want?!

First, you will need your ‘Helper’. It’s a basic little tool but it will change your lash game! This S-shaped comb is super easy to work with and the fine-toothed design helps to get the perfect lift from the root of the natural lashes and precise lash alignment on the silicone shield - one of the most crucial parts of the treatment! Try ‘The Helper 2.0’ for very fine lashes.

Another lifting tool option is the Fillering Tool. This does a similar job to The Helper, it just comes down to personal preference. However, we always recommend lash artists to have the Fillering Tool as it’s dual-ended and has an extremely fine tip, taking your precision to the next level even in the trickiest spots of the eye!

Last but absolutely not least, you will need a small, straight-cut brush for precise product application for which we recommend the Picasso Brush. The brush you use will make all the difference to the final look of your lash lift, as it’s crucial that the product is used in the correct place only. Inaccurate application of Form 1 and Fix 2 can end up with your clients coming back disappointed. This brush can also be used for tinting the lashes, so it’s a win/win!

Tinting Products

Lash tinting can be the icing on the cake for a lash lift, and is sometimes crucial in making the lashes POP and making the ‘lash lift before and after’ even more drastic.

So you will of course need the tint. Having Shiny Black Tint will usually be enough as most clients will want their lashes dark. If you want to cover all bases, you could also have a dark brown tint in your kit for fair-haired or red-head clients.

To go alongside your tint, you will need a Developer Cream to mix with, and finally, alongside that, you will need a plastic mixing bowl!
