Who is So Henna Brow Powder for?
This range is developed exclusively for trained professional brow technicians. It is the ideal choice for artists who want to offer a natural alternative to traditional tinting with results that stain both the hair and the skin for a more defined look.
What is So Henna Brow Powder?
It is a high-grade henna powder that, when mixed with distilled water, creates a smooth paste for brow colouring. The formula is unique because of its cool-toned base, which eliminates the warmth often found in other henna brands.
When should you use it?
Reach for So Henna when a client desires a more "filled-in" brow effect that lasts longer than standard tint. It is perfect for covering gaps in the brow arch or for clients who prefer a more structured, "makeup" look. Always perform a patch test 48 hours before the treatment.
Why choose So Henna Brow Powder?
Because it offers ultimate colour control. With modifiers like #08 Sweetener to add warmth or #07 Espresso to cool down a shade, you can neutralise any undertone. The formula also includes specialised particles that dissolve during mixing to ensure a vibrant and consistent colour payoff every time.
Follow these steps for a perfect henna application:
So Henna provides a professional, reliable solution for brow artists focusing on precision and longevity.
What is the difference between brow Henna and Tint?
Henna is a dye created from the plant Lawsonia Inermis. The orange dye present in the leaves of the henna plant, chemically reacts with the keratin in the skin and hairs, resulting in a strong stain that lasts until the skin or hair changes. Eyebrow henna is the commercial name for products used as a brow colouring solution, however, it may not always be derived from the henna plant.
Eyebrow henna is a powder that is mixed with water into a creamy paste that is then applied to the eyebrows. Eyebrow tint is another form of dye that is widely used in lash and eyebrow colouring. It is usually the consistency of a gel/cream and needs to be mixed with an oxidant (hydrogen peroxide) in order to be activated. Once applied to the eyelashes or eyebrows, colouring agents bond with keratin and start the tinting process.
How can I achieve the brow lamination effect using So Henna?
You can use the So Henna Brow Soap to finish off the treatment to imitate the effect of brow lamination. However, please bear in mind that brow lamination itself should never be combined with henna brow treatment.
Can I use henna for brow lamination treatment?
Henna dye cannot be used for Brow Bomber (brow lamination) treatment. Both henna and lamination slightly dry out the eyebrow hair and when combined together can cause damage to the eyebrows.
You should wait at least 20 days after brow lamination to offer a henna brow treatment. For brow lamination, it is recommended to use tint.
Are So Henna products vegan?
So Henna products are:
Please note - Our So Henna White Brow Mapping Paste is not vegan as it contains beeswax. Please check each product listing for exact specifications.
How long does it take to perform the treatment?
So Henna should stay on the eyebrows for 8 to 20 minutes, depending on the desired results. With pretreatment, colouring and shaping the treatment takes approximately 30-45 minutes. The time may vary depending on each client and the final result you are achieving.
What is the best way to prepare the skin for henna brow treatment?
How is So Henna different from other brow henna powders on the market?
So Henna was developed by leading brow specialists, created by brow artists for brow artists. It is designed to be applied in just one layer, whereas many other brands require multiple layers making treatments faster and application easier.
So Henna shades can be used individually or mixed together to create a fully customised colour. Unlike many other henna brands, the pigments are formulated to avoid warm or orange tones, delivering a more natural colour result.
With correct application and aftercare, results can last up to 6 weeks on the brow hairs.
What can I mix So Henna powder with?
Add a little henna powder to a non-metallic container and mix with a few drops of distilled water. Ensure all powder is incorporated and leave to stand while you prepare the skin.
Why should I use distilled water for the So Henna treatment over regular tap water?
It is always recommended to use distilled water to mix with the So Henna powder, as it is more hygienic to use on clients as any contaminants have been removed, as well as any other minerals in the water which may affect the final result of the Henna.
How long does henna last on the hair and skin?
So Henna lasts on the client’s brow hairs for up to six weeks, depending on the natural hair growth cycle, and for up to two weeks on the skin.
The intensity and longevity of the skin stain depends on several factors, including:
I bought the same So Henna colour, but the powder colour looks different. Is this normal?
A difference in the powder colour does not affect the performance or results of the henna. Natural henna can vary in appearance due to several external factors, including:
