Calling All Blondes, Red-Heads, Clean Girls, Mature Clients and Lovers of Subtlety: Brown Lash Extensions Are For YOU!

If you didn’t already know, we’ve recently launched a collection of the most gorgeous brown lash extensions, which includes four different colours in thicknesses of 0.07 and 0.15, mixed length trays and the most universally loved curls of C, CC, and D, so that you can really try them out and figure out which you love most!

If the only thing holding you back is not knowing how to style them, or not having a firm idea of which clients to use which shade for, we’re here to help!

How to Style Brown Lash Extensions

The good news is that anything you would do with standard black lash extensions, you can do with brown lash extensions! The real beauty of them is that you can choose the shade that best complements each individual client, and they’ll look lovely and soft on those clients with lighter colouring, for whom standard black lashes can sometimes look a little harsh or heavy.

To give you a starting point, we’ll outline a few of our favourite ways to style brown lash extensions for a softer and quite natural look.

    Brown Classic Lashes

Classic lashes are named so because they’ll never go out of style—they give that light, natural look that makes people look twice, without really knowing why. Brown lashes take that to the next level, and make it more accessible to clients with fairer colouring because they give a less stark difference between their hair colour and the colour of the lashes.

Brown individual lashes are the perfect choice for a nude look—which we’ve gone into a bit more detail about in this blog post—but they don’t have to only be used in the name of subtlety. You can create the most beautiful wispy lash looks with classic lashes by playing around with your length selection and their placement.

If you wanted to create a very even top line when applying eyelash extensions, you would drop down one millimetre for each layer you went up. For a more textured look you can simply turn that on its head. For even more wisp, apply extensions which are 2 mm longer than the longest length in any given section to lashes at regular intervals, still taking into consideration that the lashes shouldn’t be so long that they tickle your client’s eyelid and lead to annoyance, and also considering that the lashes you choose should be safe for the natural lashes that they are being applied to without weighing them down and leading to damage.

    Brown Russian Lashes

0.07 lashes are perfect for creating volume lash sets up to 5D, and now that you have a softer, more complementary option for your more mature clients or those with lighter complexions, you can apply 5D volume no problem (as long as their natural lashes are strong enough to take it!).

One of our favourite ways to apply brown lash extensions is to apply Wet Look Lashes, which means taking closed fans and applying them to the lashes for an eye-catching spiky lash look. If your client has more sparse lashes but would like a Wet Set of Lashes, you can place narrowly opened lash fans on the bottom layer to close the gaps, and still apply closed fans to the middle and top layers.

    Brown Hybrid Lashes

Hybrid Lashes are some of our favourites anyway, due to how versatile they are, but there’s something so dreamy about a hybrid lash set using brown lash extensions! 0.15 and 0.07 lashes are the perfect partners to create a gorgeous set of hybrid lashes, so you only need to grab a tray of each thickness and you have what you need to create classic, hybrid and volume lashes!

The most common way to apply hybrid lashes is to do a 50/50 split between classic lashes and volume lashes, but one of our favourite hybrid lash sets is a set of Angel Lashes. This is a lighter play on a Wet Look, but uses 2D closed or very narrow fans mixed with classic lashes to create a light and wispy lash look.

That’s only the beginning! Brown lashes give you the opportunity to create pretty much any style you can think of. All four shades are included in each box so that you can mix and match, and really put your creativity to the test, but watch this space—if they’re as loved as we think they will be, they just might be coming separately in the future…
