    What Is Brow Lamination?

Brow Lamination, also sometimes referred to as a brow perm, brow lift or even brow botox, is a popular cosmetic procedure for eyebrows that involves gently shaping and setting the individual hairs of the eyebrows. This creates a beautiful, fuller looking brow that highlights and frames the facial features, giving the wearer an instantly lifted and more youthful appearance. While there are many different ways to accomplish this effect using makeup or other brow treatments, the brow lamination remains one of the most popular and effective options for achieving this look.

InLei® is an Italian company which specialises in the stunning artistry of eyelash and brow lamination treatments and products. With their trusted and scientifically proven background, InLei® has carved their brand name into stone. This blog goes a little more in depth into InLei® Brow Lamination, and more specifically, InLei®'s Brow Bomber treatment for stunning laminated brows.

How Long Does a Brow Lamination Last?

Brow Lamination typically lasts for around six to eight weeks. However, this timeframe can be extended by re-laminating your clients' brows for a touch-up session. Remember that each hair is on its own growth cycle, so it’s best to book clients in with every 4-6 weeks to keep their eyebrows looking flawless at all times.

How Much Does Brow Lamination Cost?

The cost of Eyebrow Lamination treatments can vary depending on a number of factors, including the type of products being used and the experience of the Brow Technician performing the procedure. However, in general, people can expect to pay anywhere from £30 to £90 for a full Brow Lamination treatment. Remember, skipping on the cost of your eyebrow lamination kit can jeopardise the results that your clients' expect. Cheaper products may result in poor lamination, and in serious cases irritation to the skin and damage to the eyebrow hairs. InLei®'s Brow Lamination Kits are professionally developed for use by qualified Brow Technicians, so you too, can trust in the product and quality of your brow kit.

How Long Does A Brow Lamination Treatment Take?

A Brow Lamination treatment varies in length, but takes around 30-50 minutes, depending on the thickness and complexity of your clients' eyebrows. After consulting with a client you'll be able to give a client a better idea of the exact treatment time, based on how much shaping the brows will need and if they wish for their eyebrows to be tinted during the lamination appointment.

    Is Brow Lamination Dangerous?

There is some debate around the safety of Brow Lamination. On the one hand, lamination helps clients to achieve fuller and more defined eyebrows without having to rely on makeup or other products. On the other hand, if not done properly or if poor quality brow supplies are used, lamination can damage natural brow hairs and lead to itching and irritation. However, when performed by a licensed and experienced professional using licensed products, Eyebrow Lamination is completely safe.

How Should Clients Prepare For Brow Lamination Treatments?

There are a few different steps that clients can follow in order to prepare for a Brow Lamination procedure, but the most important thing to do is to simply do nothing. As a Brow Artist you will have a lot more brow to work with and perfect if clients leave their eyebrows unplucked as they are naturally.

In that case, it’s best if you advise clients to show up without makeup or skincare products on the brow area. With this, you can begin the treatment by cleansing your clients brows using a Pre-treatment Kit. This is an important step to cleanse the area of any impurities such as dirt, oils or left over makeup. Clients should be advised to avoid using any moisturisers or skincare products - especially oily ones - oils around the brow area prior to the procedure may prevent the lamination from performing properly in the case that any oils or skincare ingredients wrap around the hairs and prohibit the lamination products from working. By following these tips, you can ensure that your clients' Brow Lamination goes smoothly.

What Is The Brow Lamination Process Like?

As mentioned, you will begin by cleansing the brows and brow area with a gentle Brow Shampoo to ensure there is no makeup residue or leftover skincare products on the hairs before brushing the hairs into place. Next you will brush some perming solution Brow Lift 1 into the hairs to open up the bonds in the hairs themselves. Depending on how thick the clients' brow hairs are naturally, this can vary in how long it takes. You will then remove the first solution from the brows before brushing on the second solution Brow Lock 2, which forms new bonds in the hairs and locks them in their new, super neat shape. Once this is removed, Brow Bomber 3 is applied to nourish the eyebrow hairs and conclude the lamination procedure.

TOP TIP: Tint can be applied to the hairs before Brow Bomber 3 - note though that this step is optional, so if clients are allergic to tints or simply do not want their eyebrows any darker you can skip this step and go right on to shaping the brows. Brow shaping can involve using wax, threading, or tweezing techniques to shape and tidy the brows.

Overall, it's an intricate process but one that yields impressive results. Whether you're looking to enhance natural eyebrows or repair damaged ones after years of over-plucking, Brow Lamination is definitely worth considering. BONUS FAQ: Is Brow Lamination Safe During Pregnancy?

Many people are unaware of the potential dangers associated with this procedure during pregnancy. The chemicals in the solutions used during a Brow Lamination treatment can be absorbed into the bloodstream via the follicles of the hairs, and could pose risks to the foetus. Additionally, due to the increased sensitivity and hormonal changes, brow salons warn against getting this treatment done during pregnancy or while still breastfeeding as it can produce unpredictable results.

    The Verdict On Brow Lamination

If you're looking for a way to achieve perfectly shaped brows, Brow Lamination may be the right treatment for you and your brow salon. This treatment can help to tame unruly brows and give clients the appearance of fuller, thicker brows. Just keep in mind that results typically last for six to eight weeks, and when performed by a licensed and experienced professional, brow lamination is safe.
